The Chicago Sun-Times included our football star, Angel Maldonado, in their football star of the week poll. The poll closed, and he won with 31% of the vote, 700 votes. Running-back,Jahwon Akui from St.Rita High School came second with 23% of the vote. In the DailyHerald website there is a whole page about Leyden's football team, very interesting, check it out! In other news, last June a East Leyden senior, Kyle Kost, got a perfect 36 score on his ACTs. This out of ordinary story made it to Franklin Park Herald-Journal. Kyle gives some really good tips how to study and take the ACT. Be rested and eat breakfast is a helpful tool in succeeding on the very important test.
