On Saturday, September 19, thirteen Leyden "related" people ( staff members, friends, etc.) took part in the first ever "plane-pull" (literally!) for Special Olympics. You're probably wondering the same thing i am, what is this plane pull you speak of? Its exactly what it sounds like folks! You and your team members get all your power together to pull a 198,000 pound UPS Airbus for 20 feet! That's one heavy plane. I honestly cant imagine how they did it but you can ask Mr. Aguilar and Mr. Clark, the security guards at our school that participated in this event. This event was a competition with 22 teams competing quickly to beat the time. The final pull was just 30 seconds! Wow, what an outstanding job and all for charity too!
